Original soundtrack for Boku no Ohisama (My Sunshine), an official selection of Un Certain Regard at the Cannes International Film Festival.
Track ListThis is the first work in which Yoshinari Sato of Humbert Humbert also handles the theatrical accompaniment under his solo name.
Officially entered in the Un Certain Regard section of the 2024 Cannes International Film Festival. This is the first time in two years since Chie Hayakawa's PLAN 75 in 2022 that a Japanese director's film has been entered in the festival. The film became a topic of conversation in various media.
The song Boku no Ohisama was included in Humbert Humbert's eighth original album Mukashi Boku wa Miserable released in 2014, which coincidentally marks the 10th anniversary of its release this year. The director said the song inspired the story and became the theme song/title of the film. The musical accompaniment is a diverse and expansive work of music, including an original composition by Yoshinari Sato that accompanies the beautiful images shot by the director, and Debussy's Moonlight, which plays impressively throughout the film.
