BGM (background music) that brings to mind scenes from the past. Background music that has traditionally been played in commercial facilities such as supermarkets and department stores. This is instrumental music that is neither original nor original, neither medicinal nor poisonous, but there is a reason why it has been loved for so long. This kind of music exerts mental care, relaxes people, and creates a calm atmosphere. In Japan, this kind of music is generally called BGM or easy listening, but in Europe and the United States, it is called elevator music or muzak. In Japan, the same interpretation could be applied to the soundtrack of the radio program "Uta no Nai Uta Gyoku (Songs without Songs)" broadcast on JRN for more than 70 years from September 1951, which regrettably ended its long history in September 2023. This album is a selection of 40 songs with nostalgic and soothing melodies that you may have heard somewhere before, including cover songs by Paul Mauriat, Francis Lai, and others that have been broadcast on the long-running late-night FM program and included in its hit CD series. Includes commentary.
