Cinevox Record is pleased to reissue on CD Ennio Morricone's iconic score for the film "The Tragedy of a Ridiculous Man", directed in 1981 by Bernardo Bertolucci. This new CD reissue contains the thirteen tracks selected by Maestro Morricone himself for the LP originally released by Cinevox (Bubble BLU 19605). Ennio Morricone captures the rural atmosphere through folk-inspired pieces, such as a somewhat melancholic waltz for accordion; for the protagonist's wife, Morricone composed a delicate love theme for piano, flute, and strings in "Pour Barbara,"which is reprised in "Ancora pour Barbara."The desperate search for his son is underscored by passages bordering on the thriller genre. This CD includes four previously unreleased tracks that had already been approved by Maestro Morricone for the previous edition, with a total running time of 39:26, derived from the original album master and the stereo recording session.
