Cinevox is proud to reissue, with digitally improved sound, a landmark soundtrack dedicated to the many horror freaks: Romero's ZOMBI (Dawn of the dead). This classic soundtrack had been previously reissued by King Records in Japan and by Varese Sarabande in USA, while some excerpts have appeared together with takes from TENEBRE both on vinyl and CD on Cinevox's CIAK label. Keeping a keen eye on zombies eager to divore us, we have managed to find all original sessions' master tapes in our dim and dusty files, plus can't wait to introduce here 7 alternate versions well known by real aficionados: an alternate track of 'The Dawn of the Living Dead', some excerpts from 'Ai Margini della Follia', a sexy warm tune oozing out of the saxophone, the long sought-after supermarket theme, some alternate takes from the intro of 'Dawn of the Living Dead' as well, plus, last but not least, the final surprise (all faint-hearted better check their pace-makers) the zombies' unmistakable wails.
