BRAINSTORM (Expanded)

James Horner's stunning 1983 score to the movie, Brainstorm. Written & Directed by Douglas Trumball, who infact was a visual effects creator on Star Wars, Blade Runner and Close Encounters Of The Third Kind. Trumball had significant production problems which didn't portray the movie as intended and was cut extensively by the studio. However that doesn't affect the score which was sublime and truly a gem from that era. Horner's score is truly magnificent showcasing not only gentle piano pieces but also full action scoring, elements of Star Trek II & Wolfen are heard in the score. Released by Varese Sarabande many years ago and long out of print, the LS Scores adds another 12 mins of music.
