THE LAST CHASE

Gil Melle's thrilling and memorable score is one of the reasons this low budget sci-fi thriller from 1981 is so fondly remembered. The film stars Lee Majors and Chris Makepeace as two rebels on the run in a Porsche racing car and Burgess Meredith as an ageing fighter pilot sent to track them down, and Melle's dynamic score is with them all the way.

Dedicated Melle fans are probably aware this score was previously available on a very rare unofficial CD (Soundtrack Archives LCCD-0001). Unfortunately that version had none of the tracks identified and several music cues were mistakenly lumped together into a massive 23 minute track. All of those faults have been rectified on the version I'm offering here. Tracks are in chronological film order, and are correctly identified.
