Among the notable events that marked the end of 2015 was our pleasant encounter with the great Maestro Bruno Zambrini, a worthy conclusion to the year which led to a wonderful beginning to 2016 in the form of this release. When it comes to Beat Records' most-wanted unreleased titles, Fracchia contro Dracula was among the finest cards in the deck, and now, here it is, available in the DDJDLX series dedicated to the best of Italian cult cinema, undoubtedly the ideal location. Therefore, it is with great joy that we announce this sixth release dedicated to the beautiful music composed by the popular composer from Abruzzo for the latest chapter in the short but epic spin-off of Fantozzi: The Adventures Giandomenico Fracchia.
Track ListThis time we find Fracchia struggling in the new role of a real estate agent trying to sell at least one property to avoid an ominous premature dismissal. His only ramshackle customer, the accountant Filini, makes the absurd claim that the agency's electronic brain satisfies only one of their apartments, which happens to be occupied by the infamous Transylvanian Count Vlad Dracul (Dracula to his friends) starring none other than Edmund Purdom. Hilarious adventures in Romania ensue, where our heroes try to cope with the Prince of Darkness to the best of their (im)possibilities!
The music of Maestro Zambrini for this minor masterpiece of Italian cinema was performed by a major symphony orchestra with a variety of themes and orchestrations to describe each character and situation. Quality and variety are pleasant surprises for those few who are unfamiliar with this music, and for the rest a pleasant trip down memory lane in beat-up car across Eastern Europe with Gigi Reder and Paul Village, absolute cult icons of Italian cinema.
Enjoy in stereo the music of Maestro Zambrini, the third wheel on this memorable adventure!
The CD comes in a jewel case with outer cardboard slipcase, 16-page booklet designed by Alessio Iannuzzi, digital mastering and sequencing by Claudio Fuiano and liner notes (in Italian and English) by Daniele De Gemini. Limited edition of 500 copies! --- Beat Records
