Michel Legrand, the great French jazz musician and one-of-a-kind composer who passed away on January 26, 2019 During his 75-year musical career, he had worked on more than 200 film scores, mainly for French films. He rose to become one of the leading composers of French cinema at a young age, and during his life he composed music for various master film directors, including Jean-Luc Godard, Orson Welles, and Claude Lelouch. This film closely follows Legrand's life in his later years, and through his personal archives, including secret footage and audio recordings of his youth, and interviews with more than 45 musicians, directors, actors, and members of Legrand's family, including Sting, Quincy Jones, Nana Muskuri, Catherine Deneuve, and others.
