Masaru Satoh's music is a wonderful mix of East & West. Perfect for the films. He had the perfect measure of Yojimbo & Sanjuro. Read Beard was a difficult film but the score is quite beautiful.
7 Samurai remains my favorite score, perhaps because it's so "western" and filled with strong themes.
