TANGLE TOWER is a point-and-click game by SFB Games that was released in September/October 2019 for various platforms. It is the sequel to the 2014 game Detective Grimoire and tells a new, thrilling mystery story that players can experience alongside Grimoire and Sally. This time, the two find themselves in the mysterious Tangle Tower among its eccentric inhabitants to solve the murder of Freya Fellow. The game has been nominated for numerous awards, including the International Mobile Gaming Award and the BAFTA Award. Both nominations specifically highlight the game's outstanding soundtrack.

As with Detective Grimoire's first adventure, Raphael Benjamin Meyer (DER BESTATTER?also released by Alhambra Records) composed the music for TANGLE TOWER. Not only did he draw on the Budapest Art Orchestra for this project, but he also gave each character their own unique musical personality by incorporating unusual timbres using boomwhackers, lotus flutes, a kazoo, a monochord, vocals with whimsical lyrics, and numerous other original ideas. Of course, the recorders and the gripping, Elfman-esque theme for Grimoire are also central elements of the score.

The CD booklet consists of 16 pages featuring numerous illustrations from the game, as well as a text in English by Raphael B. Meyer about the creation of his music. The CD has a running time of approximately 62 minutes.

We would like to note here that only a small portion of the print run is available for commercial distribution, and we hope you enjoy the music for TANGLE TOWER.
