World premiere release of the complete original motion picture soundtrack composed by Yasushi Akutagawa (Village of Eight Gravestones, The Castle of Sand) and Toru Takemitsu (Ran, Rising Sun) for Nikkatsu' classic masterpiece ALONE IN THE PACIFIC. Contains over 73 minuts, 48 tracks including complete original score, plus alternate versions and unused music in the film. This was the first Japanese film ever, to be (partly) shot on location in the USA. Kenichi Horie is determined to challenge his family, the law and the nature crossing the Pacific to America in a small sailboat. Despite his careful planning many unforeseen events will test his determination.
