映画『サマー・オブ・ソウル (あるいは、革命がテレビ放映されなかった時)』サントラ。クエストラヴ監督・製作総指揮。2021年サンダンス映画祭観客賞と審査員大賞を受賞。 1969年6月～8月、NYで行われた"ハーレム・カルチュラル・フェスティヴァル"のライヴを収録した映画サントラが本作。ラインアップには人気アーティストからレジェンドまでが並び、ハーレムの文化を象徴するようなソウル・ゴスペル・ブルース・ラテン・ファンク等幅広いジャンルに及ぶものとなった。一部を除き、約50年倉庫に眠り続けていた圧倒的パワーと情熱に溢れたパフォーマンスの数々は時空を超えて今を生きる我々の魂を熱くする。聞き継ぐべき音楽遺産がここに。
