The annual "Monster Hunter Orchestra Concert Shuryo Ongaku Sai" was held on September 28, 2021, with online streaming only, as in 2020 due to infection control. In addition to the monsters that appeared in the latest title "Monster Hunter Rise," which was released in 2020, many popular songs from the Monster Hunter series were performed with the profound sound of a full orchestra and chorus, featuring singer Izumi Kato, Japanese instruments (biwa, shamisen, and shakuhachi), and a guest guitarist. The performance was viewed by Monster Hunter fans in Japan and around the world, and received high praise. This live recording album contains all of the songs from the performance, and the CD booklet includes the song commentary from the live streaming. Hirobumi Kurita conducts Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.
